A round table “The Single Economic Space: New Perspectives or Repeating the Past” was held in the hotel “National”, Moscow, on the initiative of the Eurasia Heritage Foundation. The round table had been conducted on the threshold of the Meeting of the High Level Group (December 15), which aims at approving of 29 projects of priority agreements on creating of free trade area within the Single Economic Space. The Eurasia Heritage Foundation believes that law-creating process of the Single Economic Space stands a good chance to break away from the exclusive circle of the principle “integration for integration” and fosters to establish essentially different mechanisms of international cooperation. The latter means that political leaders who will take part in economic integration should attract business circles of the Single Economic Space countries and independent think tanks to the process of considering and formulating priorities of integration policy. The round table “The Single Economic Space: New Perspectives or Repeating the Past” had to become one of the platforms for discussing this problem. For the first time the future of the Single Economic Space was considered in the format of 3X4: representatives of the integration policy agencies, business community and experts from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine took part in the round table width=100%. In the meeting participated: the Deputy Member of the High Level Group on behalf of the Russian Federation D.Sukhoparov (Russia); the Head and the Deputy Head of the Committees of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation A.Kokoshin and A.Likhatchev; Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan Republic E.Kh.
