Policy of immigration and naturalization in Russia

The project covers the study of migration policy in modern Russia. The results are summed up in the analytical report «Policy of Immigration and Naturalization in Russia». It depicts the migration trends for the last 30 years and the important tendencies of the last 3–5 years. The report also contains the analysis of the experience of migration processes» regulation and record in modern Russia. The report offers the migration forecasts until the year of 2020 and the recommendations on creation of the legal base and institutions of the efficient migration policy in Russia.

The Eurasia Heritage Foundation»s partner in the «Policy of Immigration and Naturalization in Russia» project is the Centre for Strategic Studies of the Volga Federal District.

Abstract of the report

At the present moment the analytical report «Immigration policy in the prospect of engineering approach: channel form of organization of immigration and naturalization policy» is being prepared for publishing.

The report is devoted to the development and application of the engineering approach to the (im-)migration and naturalization policy. The report considers in detail the concept of the channel form of the organization of immigration and naturalization policy, generalizes the international experience, and contains the proposals to improve the policy in Russia. The chronology of the events in Russia»s migration policy since 2000 is given in the end of the report.
