The Eurasia Heritage Foundation's publications «Public Intellectuals» and «History and Theory of Intelligentsia and Intellectuals» edited by Vitaly Kurennoy were included in the short list of the Prize in the sphere of the public and academic literature «Public Ideas»-2009.

The «Public Ideas» Prize, which was instituted by the Public Project Institute in 2008, is the first literary prize in Russia that is awarded for works on public sciences.    

The «Public Ideas» Prize is aimed to promote academic literature which influences the political discourse, forms the society's attitudes and knowledge as well as to provide public and financial support for the creation of works on political science, economics, sociology, history and other public and academic disciplines.

The solemn ceremony of awarding the Prize winners will take place on December 4, 2009 in the Central House of Artists within the International Book Fair «Non/Fiction No11».
