Elena Yatsenko, President of the Eurasia Heritage Foundation, took part in the international conference «The Russian Language Education in Ukraine: Problems and Prospects».

The conference was organized by the Russian State University for the Humanities and the Information and Analytical Center for Studies of the Social and Political Processes in the Post-Soviet Space, Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The conference discussed the issues of the legal status and the situation with Russian language in Ukraine's educational sphere, the modern situation with the Russian language education in Ukraine's different regions including the development of the methodological base to teach the Russian language and other academic disciplines in Russian in the Ukrainian schools and universities, and forward-looking areas of cooperation between the Ukrainian and Russian educational and research centers including the working out and introduction of joint educational programmes, improvement of the Ukrainian specialists' skills in the Russian language and literature — teachers and scholars.
